Children’s Church

Children’s church is where kids learn to love God and love the church. While enjoying a creative theme, kids learn about what it means to really love God and really love the church. Through skits, creative children’s messages, fun crafts, and interactive worship, kids will discover the truth of God’s Word, and how to give God the glory He deserves.

Matthew 18:10, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”

Our philosophy at Valley Fellowship Church is that we are preparing a generation of community, country, and world changing followers of Jesus Christ, who will not give in, who will not back down, who will stand on the wall with weapon (Bible) in hand and say “I will not surrender to worldly philosophy, I will not surrender to popular logic but because I surrender to the true living God of the universe I press on in defiance of sin.” That they may bring hope to the hopeless, that they may radiate the Love of Jesus Christ in the darkness. That it burns so deeply on their hearts that they will stop at nothing until their calling is fulfilled in Christ’s Holy name.

KIDS – PEOPLE

At Valley Fellowship Church, we believe the greatest investment we can make is in the next generation. That is why we feel that our volunteer base for children’s church is of the greatest importance. Valley Fellowship feels that the best way to guide our children is to surround them with great examples that they can follow.

Our Volunteer Base

The lifeblood of children’s church, our volunteers strive with passion to raise up a generation that loves Jesus and the Church. To come along side parents to help in the instruction of their children in relationships with the kids, our system is set up to not just have a successful Sunday morning, but to give the children strong relationships with volunteers that will continue as they move into their next season of life. That they would strive to walk in the footsteps of those they have seen walk the talk. This is why our College and Career Ministry, and our Student Ministry, Fight Club, is key in molding these young followers of Jesus. WIth an adult host, host parents, and a group of passionate teens, Elevate Kids is the ideal environment for a child to thrive. Our College and Career ministry and our student ministry, supply a majority of our volunteers and are the reason children can’t stop talking about Elevate Kids. The passion brought by these age groups is rarely seen in this day and age, and takes Elevate Kids to a “WHOLE NUTHA LEVEL” which is what we strive to do every single Sunday your kids visit Valley Fellowship Church.

KIDS – PURPOSE

Matthew 18:10, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”

This is the philosophy at Valley Fellowship Church. We feel that it is the church’s calling to give 100% of it’s talents, time, and resources into the training and preparation of the next generation. In their young lives, there are so many influences from the world that are trying to sway away our children: the relativity of truth, that image is everything, that a successful life is what you have, not who you are. So many times churches get caught up in educating and protecting our children that we forget to prepare them for the day when they go out from under the direction and discipline of their parents. More than anything else at VFC, our purpose is to prepare your kids to go out into the world and take it over for Jesus Christ.

With teens leaving the church in droves in America, it is essential that we teach young people the importance of the church. Teaching them that Jesus loves the church so much that He calls it His Bride, that the church is the tool God uses to reach the lost. That the church is the light of the world, and it is through the church that we do His work. The importance of the church is a constant theme in children’s church, secondary only to teaching the Word of God. Our goal is to raise up kids, that when moving into their teen years, are prepared to do big things for God. We feel that these fragile souls have been placed in our care and they deserve our best, our brightest and our passion because these are the ones that Jesus would not deny.
